Passage1

St John’s Gateway is the only surviving entrance to the¬†defensive wall that once surrounded Bristol.

It was originally a single gateway but the side passages were pushed through in 1820. They are now coloured by murals of the sea and mythological creatures and can be found near the street art on Nelson Street.
